If you use this method to connect your Apple TV, obviously the risk of running over your limit is much higher. I haven't found simply streaming music to eat up all too much data, but if you're on a plan with limited GBs it might be something to consider. On the device you want to share data with, connect to the mobile hotspot network you just turned on. Choose your device and look in the Connections & Network drawer for device-specific steps. You can then connect other devices to that connection, so they can access. Steps for turning SMHS on vary by device. A Personal Hotspot lets you use your phones data to set up a Wi-Fi connection. When any computers, phones, tablets, or other devices are connected to Personal Hotspot, the iPhone displays a blue bar across the top of the screen. As a temporary solution, though, it's workable. So, access your Control Center by swiping up and enabling both the Bluetooth and WiFi radios. This is the first thing you should check to make sure that there isn’t anything interfering with your device’s ability to set up a personal hotspot. Yet Personal Hotspot-by itself-doesn't work for HomePod. A personal hotspot requires that your iPhone’s Bluetooth and WiFi radios are always activated. Having grown to love my HomePods, I naturally didn't want to wait to continue using them.
